Union Park United Methodist Church was organized by Swedish Methodists on November 29, 1874 and the services were originally held in Swedish. Today we still maintain some of the Swedish flavor with a membership representative from the diverse population of the Des Moines, Iowa area. The members are from the local area of Union Park as well as from other areas of Des Moines and the surrounding communities. This web site will introduce you to the staff, events, and programming available at Union Park United Methodist Church. Please click on our various links to visit each catagory and learn about our church and what it has to offer you.
We would enjoy your company at any of our services or special events. The service schedule is: Saturday 5:30pm and Sunday 10:30am (10:00am during the Summer) also Sunday School for all ages Sunday 9:15am. There are also special services for Lent, Easter, and Christmas so check often to see what is coming in the future.
