UPUMC Bus Ministries

We have now received our new bus. We would be glad to include you in our new bus ministry. If you live in Des Moines and need a ride to our church to attend our services, call the church office at 515 262-2875. A picture of the new style bus is below. Union Park United Methodist Church has had a van that has been used to transport youth and adults to church events or church services. Our new bus is a Ford (Eldorado Conversion) 16 passenger plus two wheelchair positions and a rear wheelchair lift.

The bus ministry will include primarily transportation of youth and adult members or visitors from the Des Moines area to our church services, Sunday school, and Vacation Bible School. Secondary uses may be to enrich the quality of life for our members by providing accessibility to various other events such as: Music Under the Stars, trip to the Mega Mall, Water Works Jolly Holiday Lights at Christmas, Tulip Festival, United Methodist Men at Purdue, Youth trips, House on the Rock, Historic tours, Perry attractions, Amish life at Kolona and many other possible attractions or events. A fee may be required for the various functions or events to defray the cost of the trip.
